get involved

St. Mark’s offers a variety of ways for our congregants and others to get involved. We welcome new involvement and know that when we all contribute our individual talents, we can make St. Mark’s a more beautiful place.

Leading in Worship

Worship is the work of the people, and you are invited to be a part of it. Each Sunday a team of lay people welcome congregants to worship as greeters, read scripture or prayers as lectors, and carry the cross or torches in procession.

Creation Care Team

St. Mark's has a strong commitment to the environment. We've come together with our partners at Dreams and Visions to care for creation: planting native pollinators, caring for trees, and even working toward solar power.

Help Team

Following Jesus is all about serving others. St. Mark’s Help Team coordinates groups of volunteers to attend local service opportunities regularly. The Help Team serves every third Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Franciscan Center, just a few blocks from St. Mark’s. Volunteers serve dinner to our neighbors.

Music

Praise God with trumpet sound; praise God with lyre and harp.

Praise God with tambourine and dance; praise God with strings and pipe.

-Psalm 150

Music is at the heart of our congregational life. St. Mark's glorifies God through high quality, lively music-making that engages the entire congregation.

Become A Member

Becoming a member means committing to being part of the body of Christ and making our way through life together. As a congregation, we seek to follow Jesus together, knowing that we won't always get it right.

If you're attending worship regularly, contributing your time and feel ready to contribute financially as you are able, perhaps you are called to commit to membership at St. Mark's.

Joining Sundays are held each Fall and Spring. Speak with Pastor Emily if you'd like to explore membership.
