Grace and Peace, and welcome to St. Mark’s.

I wonder what brought you here today to find out more about this unique community of St. Mark’s? Perhaps you’re searching for the presence of the divine through beauty and art, a place where you can engage scripture with both your heart and your mind, or to be part of an eclectic and vibrant community that doesn’t expect life to adhere to to a script.

You may have found your place.

St. Mark’s is a special congregation. Sitting in church on Sunday morning means basking in the beauty of glorious music and architecture and experiencing worship that feeds the senses, elevates the soul, and engages the intellect. We are a congregation that has affirmed LGBTQ+ people since 1985. Your whole self is welcome here.

I’m a pastor who believes that Christian practice holds rich possibilities to connect us across boundaries, learn through discomfort, and bring God’s dream of justice just a little closer. I believe that God calls us together as a community so that our hearts might open — to our own truths, and to the needs of the world. As someone who identifies as Queer and Genderqueer, I’m called to nourish spiritual spaces that affirm the divinity of every soul.

In addition to serving at St. Mark’s, I’m the founding pastor of Dreams and Visions, a new, LGBTQ+ rooted congregation in Baltimore with soulful and creative worship, that’s in partnership with St. Mark’s.

I’m relatively new to Baltimore, but have fallen head over heels for this city and its many charms. My spouse and I live not far from St. Mark’s, and I love the chance to live and work among neighbors in this creative and inspiring community.

I hope I’ll have the chance to meet you soon and hear your story. Perhaps you’ll become part of the story of St. Mark’s, and all God is calling us to do together.
