Lutheran Worship is about . . .

. . . what God is doing and our response to God’s action. It’s an encounter with God, who saves us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We believe God’s presence permeates Christian worship.

While styles may differ from one congregation to another, Lutherans share a basic pattern for worship. We:
  • gather as a community of faith;
  • encounter God’s Word through readers from Hebrew and Christian scripture;
  • share a meal at the Lord’s table during the sacrament of Holy Communion; and
  • are sent into the world to be Christ to one another and to share the Gospel.
